Ever since the Republicans have fallen under the doleful spell of Donald Trump, a central plank of the party platform and a crucial component of their leader’s appeal has been hate—a venomous emotion that expresses itself in a variety of destructive and malignant ways. In humorous but seriously intended light verse, David Ewbank explores the possibility of effectively resisting Trump’s hateful influence without becoming, like Trump himself, a confirmed, bitter hater.

I must admit that this book exceeded my expectations and I really loved reading it. It contains several humorous moments that the author cleverly uses as a tool to keep the reader engaged. You should read this book because it will make you perceive Donald Trump from a different perspective. I believe the author has done a fantastic job on it. You won’t be disappointed!

It mainly writes about his greed, lies, his ethics, cheating, lechery, and treasonous scheming. All this and more are some of the main characteristics of our dear ex-president.
The second and third ones are a fable called “Old Leo” and “The Ballad of Bozo and The Bug”.
I thought the poems would be complicated to read but not at all! I understood almost everything the poems meant to leave as a message or reflection.
Although there are two more poems, the one that caught my attention the most was the first one, the one that is about Trump. There’s really good writing in all three poems and outstanding prose, in my opinion. I would highly recommend them!
